# SignalCompact terms and privacy notice

SignalCompact deterministically condenses text supplied by the caller. Do not submit content you are not authorized to process. Submitted text is treated as untrusted data and is never executed.

Recognized credentials, authorization headers, private keys, connection credentials, and common token formats are redacted before grouping and response caching. Detection is necessarily incomplete: unknown secret formats may remain. Review condensed output before sharing it. Condensation is lossy and is not a substitute for retaining the original source where required.

Source and condensed content are not written to disk or application logs. Completed redacted responses are cached in process memory for five minutes in a bounded LRU. The service persists only hashed request/idempotency metadata, state, quoted amounts, settlement identifiers, and timestamps. Active idempotency records are retained for 24 hours and accounting metadata for up to 365 days.

The production service is rate and capacity limited, and those limits may change as operating conditions require. Every paid operation uses a free signed quote and an explicit caller spending limit. A successful operation is settled at the quoted amount only after the complete result is produced. Failed requests are not settled. Blockchain settlement metadata may be public and irreversible.

The service is provided as-is without a guarantee that every format will be recognized, every secret will be redacted, or every event will fit the selected output limit.
